Each year, thousands of UFO hunters and scores of scientists travel to certain spots along the Ural mountains to study unexplained phenomena. The Ural mountain range runs pretty much north to south through western Russia and has a long reputation of being a place of high strangeness.

This 2010 report from Russia Today gives a brief introduction to the area and the myriad of phenomena that attract people interested in the mysterious.

In late January, the following UFO footage was captured close to the Urals. Recorded at dusk, the 4 minute video shows three lights that appear and disappear seemingly at random.
